This week we are highlighting Angels Childcare located in Komoka. This centre is part of the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) program and provides quality care to infants, toddlers and preschool children. There are 10 educators and 4 classrooms in this facility who do a wonderful job developing young minds and working with kids every day.

Natural Resources Canada has now identified the London area (and most of Southwestern Ontario) at an extreme risk of fire danger.

Pike Road and Mullifarry Road will be closed for road Construction. Pike Road from Mullifarry Drive to Napperton Drive. Mullifarry Drive from Centre Road to Pike Road

Effective Monday, May 29th, current Routes 1 and 2 will be combined into a new Route 2 to offer a weekday transit connection between Woodstock, Ingersoll, Putnam, Dorchester, and London. A separate connection that will link Lucan –Ilderton-Arva-London on weekdays is also being rolled out. Komoka Road will be closed at the tracks north of Glendon Drive for track repairs. The closure will take place May 9 until May 12.

This year, Emergency Preparedness Week (EP Week) is May 7-13, 2023. Emergency Preparedness Week is a national awareness initiative that has taken place annually since 1996. It is a collaborative event undertaken by provincial and territorial emergency management organizations supporting activities at the local level, in concert with Public Safety Canada and partners.
