Middlesex County Council is made up of representatives from 7 member municipalities within the County's boundaries. The Head of County Council is elected from among the Council members in December of each year by a vote at Council and is known as the Warden.
Councillor Susan Clarke (2026 Warden)

Bio
Susan Clarke began her career in politics in 2018 when she was elected Councillor for the Municipality of Adelaide Metcalfe. In 2022, she was acclaimed as Mayor of Adelaide Metcalfe, and in December 2025, she was elected to serve as Warden of Middlesex County for the 2025/2026 term. She is a retired banker with over 32 years of experience in various positions, particularly a Regional Manager for Investment Services and Account Manager Roles in Commercial Credit, Small Business and Agriculture.
Having served on the Middlesex County Steering Committee to establish a Community Futures Development Corporation (CFDC), Susan was a member of the Loans Committee and served on the CFDC Board for over 15 years. She has served on many committees and boards in London and Middlesex County, such as Middlesex Community Living and Participation House London.
In addition to her council responsibilities, Susan is completing her 33rd year of service with the Caradoc Townsend Mutual Insurance Board and their Audit & Investment Committees. She is also CTM’s Legislative Affairs Representative at the Ontario Mutual Insurance Association.
A lifelong resident of London and Middlesex County, Susan, along with her husband David, operate a cash crop farm in Adelaide Metcalfe Township. She is also a graduate of UWO.
