Deer me! Driving safely during rut season...

The term 'rut' is the mating season for certain mammals. From October to November, the Middlesex OPP sees the most collisions with deer, usually in the early morning or dusk timeframes, although they can occur anytime. Below are some tips from Work Place Safety North on how to drive safely, especially around deer appearing more often this time of year.  

Road Closure - Komoka Road

Elgin Road will be closed for CN repairs at the tracks between the intersections of Catherine Street. The road will be closed from September 20 to 23.

Conservation Road will be closed at the bridge for repairs between Shiloh Line and Maple Ridge Line. The road will be closed from August 2 to September 2. Please see the file below for the detour. 

Ontario Renovates Program

The Ontario Renovates program is still taking applications for the 2022 season. This program is available for homeowners of both City of London and County of Middlesex. The program will be wrapping up the program by the end of September.
