MIDDLESEX COUNTY, Monday, August 21, 2023 — Middlesex County is excited to announce a special back-to-school promotion exclusively for students, designed to ease their transition into the upcoming academic year. Students will enjoy free rides on both Middlesex County Connect bus routes from September 5th to 8th, 2023, helping them kickstart the new school year on the right foot.

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, August 4, 2023 - Middlesex County is pleased to announce the launch of our new rider app for Middlesex County Connect, our inter-community transit service. Powered by a Canadian transit software developer, Blaise Transit, this mobile application will significantly enhance the convenience and accessibility of our bus services.

Middlesex County is now home to eight storytelling trails. These ‘Tales & Trails’ sites, located in eight communities across the County, will feature pages from children’s storybooks as well as community stories.  Through this project, people of all ages can now experience the power of storytelling while enjoying the wonders of nature.

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, on the morning of Thursday, June 29, 2023, Cathy Burghardt-Jesson, Warden and Aina DeViet, Deputy Warden of Middlesex County hopped on the County Connect bus on route 1 that runs between Lucan, Ilderton, Arva, and London. They visited different stops throughout the route to gain first-hand experience of the County Connect bus service. The pair talked to riders and gathered feedback and ideas to help improve the system. "We are excited to offer the new and improved routes that will better connect our County residents to places near and far," said Warden Cathy Burghardt-Jesson. "I encourage residents to take advantage of the service and make the most of the affordable and accessible transportation option."

MIDDLESEX COUNTY (June 22, 2023): Middlesex County Council is pleased to announce the receipt of $873,903 in Homelessness Prevention Program funding from the Province of Ontario, through the City of London as the Service System Manager.

MIDDLESEX COUNTY (May 25 2023): The Ontario government has honoured paramedics from across the province, including five from the Middlesex-London Paramedic Services (MLPS), with the Ontario Medal for Paramedic Bravery. The medal recognizes and applauds the bravery of paramedics who risk their lives in service of others. The five MLPS paramedics recognized have shown extraordinary courage and commitment to their profession and to their community.
