Middlesex County is renewing its Forest Management Plan, a long‑term strategy that will guide the care, conservation, and sustainable use of County-owned Forests for the next 30 years. As part of this process, we need your help. The County is launching a public survey to gather feedback from residents, forest users, community groups, and other interest holders.
The County’s 1,025 hectares of forests are vital community assets. They support biodiversity, recreation, environmental health, and climate resilience. The renewed Forest Management Plan will help ensure our forests continue to thrive for decades to come. Public input will play a key role in shaping priorities for stewardship, habitat protection, recreational use, and long‑term sustainability.
The survey asks participants to share their perspectives on forest use, conservation priorities, challenges, and opportunities. Feedback collected will help inform the draft Forest Management Plan before it is presented to Middlesex County Council for consideration.
Community voices are essential as we look ahead to future of forest management in Middlesex County. Whether you use the County Forests for hiking, birdwatching, horse riding or hunting, or simply value the environmental benefits, we want to hear from you.
