Middlesex County is currently conducting a comprehensive assessment of inter-community transit services in the County and has retained Left Turn Right Turn Ltd. (LTRT), a third-party consulting firm, to lead the assessment. In collaboration with stakeholders, the consultant will analyze ridership trends, route efficiency, service accessibility, and identify opportunities for improvement. The objective of this assessment is to evaluate the current transit routes serving various communities and recommend sustainable, integrated transportation solutions that best support local and regional growth.
Middlesex County Connect routes include:
- Route 1: Lucan, Ilderton, Arva, and London (weekdays only)
- Route 2: Woodstock, Ingersoll, Putnam, Dorchester, and London (weekdays only)
- Route 3: Dorchester, London, St. Thomas, and Southwold (Monday to Saturday)
Strathroy-Caradoc Inter-Community Transit connects Sarnia, Strathroy, Mt. Brydges, Komoka, and London (Monday to Sunday)
Stakeholder engagement activities are scheduled for March and April 2025. In March, a stakeholder survey, workshop, and focus group sessions were conducted with municipal partners and community stakeholders from local and neighbouring municipalities served by the existing routes. These sessions had strong participation and led to productive discussions.
Additionally, a public survey was conducted in March to gather feedback from residents, receiving 594 responses.
