BIKES ON BUSES
Love cycling? So do we! Our buses on Route 1 & Route 2 have a front-mounted bike rack that can carry up to two bikes, making it convenient to integrate bus and bike travel into your daily commute.
Currently, our Route 3 bus does not have a bike rack; however, a bike rack is expected to be available by August 2024.
Bus bike racks can accommodate up to two bikes with a minimum wheel diameter of 16 inches. Passengers must load and unload their own bikes; drivers cannot assist. There is no additional charge, and availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate tricycles, tandem bikes, electric bikes and electric scooters.
Please note that when transporting bicycles on Middlesex County Connect buses, it is at the owner's risk. Middlesex County Connect bears no responsibility for any loss, damage, or theft that may occur. Passengers are solely responsible for loading, securing, and unloading their bicycles without assistance from the driver. Additionally, all detachable items, including bags, air pumps, and water bottles, must be removed. Bicycles with obstructive items such as flags or mirrors that impede the driver's view or compromise the safe operation of the bus will not be transported.
