TAKE NOTICE that on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 the Council of the County of Middlesex will hold a hybrid public meeting, pursuant to section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, to present and obtain public input on the County’s proposed Development Charges (D.C.) By-law and underlying Background Study. 

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, May 7, 2024 – the Township of Lucan Biddulph hosted the 75th annual 2024 Middlesex Municipal Day at the Lucan Biddulph Community Memorial Centre alongside Mayor of Lucan Biddulph, Cathy Burghardt-Jesson as the Master of Ceremony. The event was attended by over 100 delegates from the County of Middlesex, local municipalities, the Middlesex-London Paramedic Services, Middlesex-London Food Policy Council, and various community partners and businesses.

This year, Emergency Preparedness Week (EP Week) is on May 5-11, 2024 and the theme for this year is “Plan for every season” 

May 6-12, 2024 is Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Mental Health Week and this year’s theme is centered on the healing power of compassion. In a world plagued by suffering, we emphasize that kindness is equally intrinsic to our humanity. We all have the capacity to be compassionate, and we know that doing so can make an enormous difference.

On April 28th is National Day of Mourning to remember and honour those who have died, been injured, or suffered illness in the workplace. Canadian flags on Parliament Hill and at Queen's Park fly at half-mast on April 28th. The day is traditionally marked in many ways including holding public ceremonies, wearing black and yellow ribbons, lighting candles, observing a moment of silence at 11:00 a.m. and sharing stories about how workplace tragedies have touched peoples' lives.

Middlesex County half-load restrictions will be removed on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 until further notice.

Middlesex County, April 8, 2024 – Today marks the launch of Middlesex County’s newest inter-community transit route, offering connectivity between Dorchester, London, and St. Thomas. The new Middlesex County Connect route aims to address the growing need for affordable, accessible, and convenient transportation options for residents and visitors alike, marking a significant milestone in enhancing regional mobility.

Denfield Road will be closed between Cladeboye Drive and William Street for bridge repairs. The closure begins on April 8 and is expected to last until May 16.
