To mark the 225th anniversary of Middlesex County, residents are invited to take part in a special tree giveaway event. A total of 225 spruce saplings will be available for pickup as a symbol of the growth and deep roots that have grounded Middlesex County for 225 years.

MIDDLESEX COUNTY: On June 6, 2025, Warden Brian Ropp issued the following statement on behalf of County Council and residents of Middlesex County communities regarding the fourth anniversary of the deaths of the Afzaal family, who were killed in a hit-and-run crash while taking an evening walk in northwest London.

Giant hogweed is a tall plant that grows up to an astonishing five metres high. Small whisker-like hairs and reddish-purple spots cover its stem. From June to August, it produces a white flower that resembles an umbrella and can stretch one metre wide.

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, May 27, 2025 – Middlesex County has officially adopted the Rooted in Community, Growing Toward Tomorrow – Middlesex County Strategic Plan (2025-2030), a comprehensive roadmap that will guide the County’s priorities, investments, and services over the next five years.

The Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc hosted the 76th Annual Middlesex Municipal Day at the Caradoc Community Centre in Mount Brydges on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

The County of Middlesex is updating its Official Plan to ensure that the land use planning policies are current, reflect updated Provincial policy, and reflect changing community needs for the next 30-years.

Middlesex County community members are invited to participate in a survey to inform the County’s Official Plan Refresh – a long-term vision that guides decisions around land use, infrastructure, economic development, housing, agriculture, and more.
