Today, April 28th is National Day of Mourning to remember and honour those who have died, been injured, or suffered illness in the workplace. This day also signifies the County’s renewal and commitment to reduce and prevent worker illness and injury. Please join us in committing to a future where everyone goes home safely at the end of the day. We cannot change the past. We can change the future.

April 26 is National Administrative Professionals Day! We would like to thank all of our hardworking County admins and all admins across Canada and the world! Today we recognize the vital role you play, and your dedication and attention to detail do not go unnoticed. We appreciate all that you do!

This week we are highlighting Little Lambs Daycare located in Strathroy. This licensed child care centre offers wonderful programs for children ages 3 months to 6 years. These programs will develop your child’s problem-solving, social, and communication skills in an environment that is safe, friendly, interesting, and organized. Nissouri Road will be closed by CP for track maintenance between Dundas Street and Evelyn Drive. The closure will take place Sunday, April 23 to Monday, April 24.

MIDDLESEX COUNTY (April 19, 2023): Middlesex County Warden Cathy Burghardt-Jesson proudly reports on the successful attendance of county staff and Council members at the 2023 Good Roads Conference held in Toronto, Ontario. The conference provided a unique opportunity for the attendees to learn about best practices in infrastructure development, engage in discussions with the Provincial Ministry staff, and advocate for the benefit of Middlesex County.

Adelaide Road (CR 81) will be closed between Woods Edge and Lions Park Drive for utility tie-ins. The closure is planned for April 17 until April 28.

Gore road will be closed at the bridge between Crumlin Sideroad and Shaw Road The closure will be April 17 until June 1 for Bridge repairs. For any questions or concerns please call Middlesex County Central Garage at 519-471-2020

Middlesex County Administration will be closed Friday, April 7 to Monday, April 10. Services will resume Tuesday, April 11 at 8:30am.

Putnam Road will be closed for bridge repairs north of Hamilton Road. The closure will begin on April 3 and is expected to last until June 30.
