This week we are highlighting the Kilworth Children’s Centre. This centre is part of the Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) program and provides quality care to infants, toddlers, and preschool children and a school age program Here, daily activities are based on the interests, skills, needs, and abilities of the children in the program. Effective Monday, May 29th, current Routes 1 and 2 will be combined into a new Route 2 to offer a weekday transit connection between Woodstock, Ingersoll, Putnam, Dorchester, and London. A separate connection that will link Lucan –Ilderton-Arva-London on weekdays is also being rolled out. Komoka Road will be closed at the tracks north of Glendon Drive for track repairs. The closure will take place May 9 until May 12.

May 8-14, 2023: The National Nursing Week annual celebrations taking place from Monday to Sunday.

This year, Emergency Preparedness Week (EP Week) is May 7-13, 2023. Emergency Preparedness Week is a national awareness initiative that has taken place annually since 1996. It is a collaborative event undertaken by provincial and territorial emergency management organizations supporting activities at the local level, in concert with Public Safety Canada and partners.

Mcgillivray Drive will be closed for a culvert replacement between Cassidy Road and Brinsley Road. The closure will be May 8 until May 12.

As part of mental health week, today’s focus will be on “understanding mental health”. Mental health is the state of our psychological and emotional well-being. It encompasses our emotions, feelings of connection, thoughts, and the ability to manage life’s highs and lows. This week we are highlighting Little Lambs Daycare located in Strathroy. This licensed child care centre offers wonderful programs for children ages 3 months to 6 years. These programs will develop your child’s problem-solving, social, and communication skills in an environment that is safe, friendly, interesting, and organized. Nissouri Road will be closed by CP for track maintenance between Dundas Street and Evelyn Drive. The closure will take place Sunday, April 23 to Monday, April 24.
