Fire Prevention Week 2025 is October 5-11, and the theme is: “Charge into Fire Safety™: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home.” This theme aims to educate people about safely using lithium-ion batteries, and emphasizes the importance of buying, charging, and recycling these batteries safely.

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we pause to reflect on Canada’s history and the painful legacy of residential schools. We honour the children who never came home, the survivors, and their families.
