Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Manager, the Laundry Services Aide sorts, weighs, washes, and folds linen and resident clothing, attends to resident admissions/discharges, and carries out labelling, mending, and alterations. This is a temporary, casual, summer position until October 31, 2026. Hours of work may vary and scheduled hours each week are not guaranteed. The successful candidate must be available to work weekdays, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays, and be available on short notice for call-in shifts.
Compensation: $22.54 per hour + 13.75% in lieu of benefits
Qualifications
• Minimum education of Grade 10 completed
• Previous experience in laundry operations in a healthcare, institutional or hospitality setting
• Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team
• Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening and completion of TB testing that is satisfactory to Strathmere Lodge/Middlesex County
