
MIDDLESEX COUNTY, May 7, 2025 – The Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc hosted the 76th Annual Middlesex Municipal Day at the Caradoc Community Centre in Mount Brydges on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Mayor of Strathroy-Caradoc, Colin Grantham welcomed guests as the Master of Ceremonies. The event saw over 90 delegates from the County of Middlesex, local municipalities, the City of London, Middlesex-London Paramedic Services, Middlesex-London Health Unit, Ontario Provincial Police, and various community partners.
Attendees at the event gained valuable insights from prominent local entrepreneurs and community organizations. Each featured organization brought a unique perspective to the event, showcasing how local leadership is driving progress across diverse sectors.
From The Wright Family Performing Arts Centre, attendees heard about the transformative power of the arts in building community identity and enriching local culture. RedRick Technologies demonstrated how cutting-edge innovation and niche manufacturing can thrive in a rural context, reinforcing the County’s potential as a hub for high-tech entrepreneurship.
Middlesex Community Living shared how inclusive practices and advocacy are not only empowering individuals with developmental disabilities but also strengthening the social fabric of the region. The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority emphasized environmental stewardship and sustainability, showing how natural resource management supports both economic vitality and community well-being.
The entrepreneurial journey of The Still Bar & Tasting Room / NE1 Spirits highlighted the creative spirit and local pride driving new ventures in hospitality and craft distilling. Meanwhile, the Skilled Trades Hub outlined its role in workforce development, preparing students with hands-on training and career pathways that meet evolving industry demands.
The State of the Union address delivered by Warden Brian Ropp included recognition of the County’s commitment to key priorities such as infrastructure, housing, and economic development, and updates on strategic initiatives including the County’s Official Plan review, investments in Economic Development and Tourism, and ongoing paramedic service innovations.
