Middlesex County Warden’s Statement - 2023 Warden’s Charity Golf Tournament
MIDDLESEX COUNTY: On July 18, 2023, Warden Cathy Burghardt-Jesson issued the following statement regarding the total proceeds of the 2023 Warden’s Charity Golf Tournament.
"It is with immense gratitude that we announce the success of the Middlesex County 2023 Warden's Charity Golf Tournament. This year's tournament has been a remarkable event, uniting our community in support of four organizations: Lucan Minor Hockey, Lucan Ilderton Athletics, Lucan Skating Club, and Lucan Soccer Club. I am thrilled to announce that through the generosity of our sponsors and participants, we have raised a staggering $23,000 with each of these organizations receiving $5,720.
The funds raised through this tournament will undoubtedly go a long way in nurturing the growth and development of our local community’s sports and athletic programs. These organizations play an invaluable role in our community, instilling life lessons of teamwork, sportsmanship, and dedication in our young citizens. As a parent I can personally speak to the difference and impact these organizations have had in my own children’s lives.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the participants who took part in the tournament, the sponsors who generously contributed, and the County staff who dedicated their time and efforts to make this event a resounding success. Your unwavering support has made a tangible difference in the lives of the residents of our community. I would also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to The Fox Golf Club for hosting this year’s tournament.
I am extremely proud and humbled of what we have accomplished together. The Middlesex County 2023 Warden's Charity Golf Tournament has not only raised a net sum of $23,000 but has also reinforced the sense of unity and camaraderie that makes our community so special. We have proven that when we unite for a common cause, we can create meaningful change.
Together, we have made a lasting impact on the lives of the young athletes involved in Lucan Minor Hockey, Lucan Ilderton Athletics, Lucan Skating Club, and Lucan Soccer Club. Let us continue to support and uplift one another, knowing that our collective efforts will shape a brighter future for our community."
