Middlesex County advocating for local priorities at 2026 AMO Conference
MIDDLESEX COUNTY (AUGUST 13, 2026) – Middlesex County representatives are attending the 2026 Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Conference from August 16 to 19 to bring local priorities directly to provincial leaders, connect with municipal partners from across Ontario, and advocate for priorities that matter to residents.
The annual AMO Conference brings together municipal officials, senior staff, provincial representatives, and organizations from across Ontario to exchange ideas, discuss shared challenges, and advance solutions that support strong and sustainable communities.
Throughout the conference, Middlesex County representatives will participate in meetings and discussions focused on priorities that support residents, businesses, and local municipalities. Meeting with provincial officials will highlight topics such as employment and industrial lands, community safety, high-speed internet infrastructure, long-term care, municipal fleet vehicles, and privacy protection.
"The AMO Conference is an important opportunity to bring the voice of Middlesex County directly to provincial decision-makers and municipal partners," said Middlesex County Warden Sue Clarke. “These conversations help us build momentum on initiatives that will benefit our communities now and into the future."
The County's participation reflects its commitment to advocating for local needs while working collaboratively with municipal and provincial partners to address shared opportunities.
