MIDDLESEX COUNTY, November 27, 2025: During the Middlesex County Council Inaugural meeting today, Sue Clarke, Mayor of the Township of Adelaide Metcalfe, was elected as the Warden of Middlesex County for the 2025/2026 term.

Mayor Clarke brings a strong record of public service and community involvement to her nomination. Since beginning her political career as a Councillor for Adelaide Metcalfe in 2018 and later serving as Mayor, she has demonstrated steady leadership and a deep commitment to the region.

“Serving as Warden is an incredible privilege, and I’m grateful for the trust County Council has placed in me,” Clarke said. “As we approach the final year of this term, I am encouraged by the strong foundation we have built together. Our Council and staff are aligned in purpose, our Strategic Plan is propelling meaningful progress, and we are well-positioned to further strengthen collaboration with our local municipalities and regional partners. I am confident in the path ahead and look forward to continuing this momentum.”

“I am pleased to congratulate Warden Clarke on her appointment,” said past Warden Brian Ropp. “It has been an honour to serve Middlesex County, and I know the county will be in capable hands under her leadership. I wish her every success in the year ahead.”
