Launch of Middlesex County's New Inter-Community Transit Route Linking Dorchester, London, and St. Thomas on April 8, 2024

Middlesex County, April 3, 2024 – Middlesex County will be launching our new inter-community transit route facilitating connectivity between Dorchester, London, and St. Thomas on Monday, April 8, 2024. The launch event will feature Middlesex County Warden Aina DeViet, St. Thomas Mayor Joe Preston, Thames Centre Mayor Sharron McMillan, and Deputy Mayor Michelle Smibert, along with Vice President of Transit Ontario Voyago, Jason Keillor, among other distinguished guests marking the occasion with a ceremonial bus ride.

Date: Monday, April 8, 2024

Time: 7:10 am – 9:25 am

Start Location: Railway City Transit Hub, St. Thomas, ON

Schedule of Events:

7:10 am: Warden Aina DeViet, Mayor Preston, and Jason Keillor will convene at the Railway City Transit Hub.

7:20 am: Boarding of the bus.

8:15 am: Mayor Sharron McMillan and Deputy Mayor Michelle Simbert will join the group at the Dorchester stop in the FlightExec Centre parking lot and ride the bus to St. Thomas.

9:25 am: Conclusion of the bus ride.

The Middlesex County Connect routes, including this latest addition, are made possible by the generous funding from the Government of Ontario's Community Transportation Grant Program.
