Construction Roadmap

Why is a New Governance & Administration Centre Necessary?
Over the past nine years, Middlesex County has implemented a decentralization strategy aimed at reducing the county’s corporate footprint, creating operational synergies, and investing in service delivery closer to residents. The sale of the former Middlesex County Administration Building in 2019 and other strategic actions provided the financial foundation for this next step.
The new purpose-built Middlesex County Governance & Administration Centre will allow the County to:
Enhance efficiency by providing modern, flexible spaces that support collaboration and innovation.
Improve accessibility with a facility designed in full compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
Serve the community by including a multi-purpose event space for gatherings, meetings, and civic functions.
Celebrate heritage through features such as a two-storey entrance with a history wall highlighting Middlesex County’s story.
Plan for the future by investing in infrastructure that supports long-term service delivery and sustainable growth.
This new centre reflects the County’s ongoing commitment to delivering excellent service while building a strong and connected future.
