Middlesex County: Impact of Social & Economic Changes on Human Service Needs (2013)
This report summarizes an assessment of the assets, needs, gaps and opportunities for improving human
services in eight municipalities in Middlesex County and it illustrates the direct link that exists between a
community’s social programs and its economic vitality. The report was commissioned by the United Way of
London & Middlesex, and was guided by a multi‐party advisory committee over the course of 2012‐2013. The
report was made possible through the financial support of the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges &
Universities. This report is available at http://unitedwaylm.ca/middlesex‐county‐needs‐assessment.html.
COMING SOON ‐ Local Community Food Assessment Report
The Local Community Food Assessment (CFA) looks at the strengths and weaknesses across the local food
system in Middlesex‐London. This includes all the people, activities and resources needed to feed people, and
everything needed to grow, process, package, distribute, eat and dispose of food. This report will provide
initial direction for a future Middlesex‐London Food Policy Council and help guide the Middlesex‐London
community toward a healthier and more sustainable food system. More information is available at
