            a)         Supplier Selection for Website Redevelopment

That the agreement with Giant Goat to complete the redevelopment of the Invest in Middlesex website for $40,000 plus HST be approved and that the necessary by-law be forwarded to County Council authorizing the Warden and the Clerk to execute the agreement.   

This agreement is expected to be made in conjunction with an agreement between the Middlesex County Library Board and Giant Goat for the redevelopment of the Middlesex County Library website at a cost of $20,000 plus HST.

 

            b)         Fire Prevention, Fire Safety and Fire Inspection Services

That Middlesex County Council confirm the following:

That the following steps have been taken:

1)    Each of the County Fire Prevention Officers employed or retained by the County have been officially appointed by the Province, through the Fire Marshal’s Office as Assistants to the Fire Marshal, qualifying them to provide Fire Prevention, Fire Safety and Fire Inspection Services.

2)    Lower-tier specific by-laws and/or resolutions confirmed in by-law have been passed by each of the Lower-tier Municipalities appointing the County Fire Prevention Officers as members of each of the fire departments of the Lower-tier Municipalities.  Such by-laws delegate the inspection powers of each of the Lower-tier Municipality’s Fire Chiefs to the County Fire Inspectors by virtue of the Fire Chiefs being employees of the Lower-tier Municipalities.  

3)    As a result of 1 and 2 above, Fire Prevention, Fire Safety and Fire Inspections within the entire geography of Middlesex County have been delegated to the County Fire Prevention Officers.

The continued appointments of Messers Guay, Elston and Hathaway as County Fire Prevention Officers, authorized to conduct Fire Prevention, Fire Safety and Fire Inspection Services within the entire geography of Middlesex County;

That Mr. Lambert will no longer serve as a County Fire Inspector; and

That the Corporation of the County of Middlesex shall continue to employ and/or retain as consultants such numbers of Fire Prevention Officers certified by the provincial Fire Marshal’s Office, as it deems necessary at its discretion, to provide Fire Prevention, Fire Safety and Fire Inspection Services throughout the entire geography of Middlesex County.

And that the attached by-law be forwarded to Middlesex County Council for approval.

c)         A By-law affirming the responsibility of The Corporation of the County of Middlesex to provide Fire Prevention, Fire Safety and Fire Inspection Services throughout the entire geography of Middlesex County

 

d)         A BY-LAW to enter into an Agreement for Professional Consulting Services with Giant Goat Web Development Inc., to complete the redevelopment of the Invest in Middlesex website.  (copy of by-law to be handed out at the meeting)

 

e)         A By-Law to confirm proceedings of the Council of The Corporation of the County of Middlesex – July 21, 2015

THAT the Glendon Drive Streetscape Improvements Master Plan Class Environmental Assessment Request for Proposal, in joint partnership with the Municipality of Middlesex Centre (Middlesex Centre PWE 15-02; Middlesex County M-M-15), submission received from Stantec Consulting Ltd. in the amount of $258,219.00 (excluding HST) be awarded; subject to the concurrent award and equal funding contribution be provided by the Municipality of Middlesex Centre; and

That staff be authorized to execute the appropriate engineering services agreement.

 

            4.         Middlesex Centre Radio Tower Agreement
