The Middlesex County Library Board received a letter from the Municipality of Thames Centre on August 8, 2014 regarding the Dorchester Library Expansion Ad Hoc Committee requesting to have two (2) members of the Middlesex County Library Board appointed to sit on the Ad-Hoc Committee, as well as Julie Gonyou, County Librarian.

Middlesex County Leg. Policy 2.01 requires that all third party appointments be made by County Council.

The following motion was made at the Middlesex County Library Board Meeting on August 26, 2014:

That the Middlesex County Library Board agree to the participation of the County Librarian on the Dorchester Library Expansion Ad Hoc Committee; and that the Middlesex County Library Board recommend Marie Kingma, Dave Jones, and Vance Blackmore to Middlesex County Council for formal appointment to the committee. Carried.”
