Warden Vanderheyden will make a cheque presentation in the amount of $10,510.34 to Susan McLean, CFRE, CEO, Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation representing the proceeds from the Warden’s Charity Golf Tournament.

a)         Middlesex-London EMS 10 Year Resources and Facilities Master Plan

That the County of Middlesex accept in principle, the recommendations of the Middlesex-London EMS 10 Year Resources and Facilities Master Plan, and that implementation of the various recommendations be subject to the annual Budget process or other County Council reports as appropriate.   

 

            b)         Operational Superintendent Staffing

That the County of Middlesex approve the immediate hiring of two (2) additional EMS management staff at the total cost of $87,547.82 for the 2014 calendar year;

 

That funding for the 2014 additional costs will be offset by reserve funding; and

 

That these 2 additional positions be included in the 2015 MLEMS Budget submission.

10.       BY-LAWS

 

a)         A BY-LAW to authorize a collective agreement between CUPE Local 2018 and the Corporation of the County of Middlesex for the period July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2017

 

b)         A BY-LAW to authorize the Warden and the Clerk to execute an agreement between The Corporation of the County of Middlesex and The County of Oxford with respect to winter maintenance for the period September 1, 2014 to April 31, 2024

 

c)         A BY-LAW to authorize the Warden and the Clerk to execute an agreement between The Corporation of the County of Middlesex and The Corporation of the City of London with respect to winter maintenance for the period November 1st, 2014 to October 31, 2019

 

d)         A BY-LAW to provide percentage limits on tax decreases for 2014

 

e)         A bylaw to provide property tax relief to branches of the Royal Canadian Legion in the County of Middlesex for the property taxation years 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017

 

f)          A BY-LAW to appoint Mark Brown as Woodlands Conservation Officer, Weed Inspector and By-Law Enforcement Officer for the County of Middlesex (provincial offences officer pursuant to the Provincial Offences Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.33; as amended)

 

g)         A By-Law to confirm proceedings of the Council of The Corporation of the County of Middlesex – August 26, 2014

1.         Memorandum of Understanding Between the County of Middlesex and the Salvation Army for Emergency Disaster Services

That the Memorandum of Understanding with the Salvation Army for a term of three years be approved and that the necessary by-law authorizing the Warden and the Clerk to execute the Memorandum of Understanding with the Salvation Army be forwarded to County Council, and;

 

That local municipalities be given the opportunity to access the resources of the Salvation Army in the event of a local emergency through this agreement, that local municipalities pay for the cost associated with the agreement where the emergency is a local emergency only, and that the County pay for the cost to the Salvation Army where the evacuation centre is opened at the County’s request.

 

2.         Intersection Illumination County Road 2 (Dundas Street) and Cobble Hills Road
