            a)         Purchase of New AVL/GPS System for EMS Vehicles

That the Director of Emergency Services/Chief Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services be authorized to issue a purchase order to FERNO/ACETECH for the purchase of the system quoted in the attached quote at a cost of:

·         Complete AVL/GPS/ECO System                   $ 4609.55 per vehicle (24 units)

·         Complete WIFI System                                     $1,600.00 per vehicle (34 units)

·         Total installation of AVL/GPS/WIFI                 $1,050.00 per vehicle. (32 units)

 

Total cost for the system transition would be as follows:

·         Complete AVL/GPS/ECO System:                  $110,629.20+HST

·         Complete WIFI System:                                    $  54,400.00+HST

·         Total installation of AVL/GPS/WIFI:                $   33,600.00+HST

 

Total cost of transition:                                            $198,629.20+HST

 

b)         Request for Approval to Participate in the Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium Study

That the agreement between the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, research arm of The Ottawa Hospital; Dr. Ian Stiell, The Ottawa Hospital (Civic Campus); London Health Sciences Centre Research Inc.; Dr. Jonathan Dreyer, London Health Sciences Centre; Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services Authority and The Corporation of the County of Middlesex, be approved pending the resolution of the issue and that the necessary by-law authorizing the Warden and the Clerk to sign the agreement for forwarded to County Council for approval.
