2012 Warden - Jim MaudsleyWarden Jim Maudsley Portrait 2012

It is my pleasure to serve as the 2012 Warden and I would like to personally welcome you to the online home of Middlesex County. I invite you to browse through the various departments and information to see how much Middlesex County has to offer.

Located in beautiful Southwestern Ontario, Middlesex is a vibrant growing county with 69,000 residents. We offer many recreational opportunities and some of the most interesting history in Ontario. I am dedicated to protecting the quality of life in our county and providing opportunities for economic development.

I have made Thames Centre my home for the past 40 years with my wife Linda. We have been married 42 years and enjoy spending time with our two children and three grandsons. I entered municipal politics as a Councillor for the Township of North Dorchester in 1985 and served for three terms. Then I was  elected as the last Deputy Reeve for North Dorchester in 1997. In 2006, I became  the Mayor of the amalgamated municipality of Thames Centre. I have enjoyed serving as a member of County Council especially when I was Warden in 2009.

The Councillors, which represent our eight unique communities, pride themselves on being available and accessible to any and all inquiries.  This site provides contact information for all Councillors and I encourage you, to make that contact as needed.

I welcome you to visit our county, enjoy our friendly people and thriving communities.
